브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 이준석 국민의힘대표는 27일 윤석열 대통령과 권성동 직무대행 간 문자메시지와 관련 '양두구육'을 언급하며 겉과 속이 다름을 꼬집었다.
현재 울릉도를 방문 중인 이준석 대표는 이날 자신의 페이스북을 통해 "그 섬에는 카메라 사라지면 눈 동그랗게 뜨고 윽박지르고, 카메라 들어오면 반달 눈웃음으로 악수하러 오고, 앞에서는 양의 머리를 걸어놓고, 뒤에서는 정상배들에게서 개고기 받아와서 판다"고 밝혔다. 그 섬은 여의도를 지칭한 것으로 보인다.
이어 그는 "이 섬은 모든 것이 보이는 대로 솔직해서 좋다. 감사합니다, 울릉도"라고 했다.

한편 지난 26일 경제 분야 대정부질문이 진행되던 국회 본회의장에서 권성동 대행은 윤석열 대통령과 텔레그램 메시지를 주고 받던 휴대전화 화면이 국회 사진기자단 카메라에 포착됐다.
이 사진에는 윤석열 대통령이 권 직무대행에게 "우리 당도 잘하네요. 계속 이렇게 해야", "내부 총질이나 하던 당 대표가 바뀌니 달라졌다"는 내용의 메시지를 보냈다.
당 업무에는 관여하지 않겠다는, 원칙적인 발언을 해오던 윤 대통령의 속내가 비쳐지는 문자 메시지가 세상에 공개되자 논란은 점차 커지고 있다.
결국 권성동 직무대행은 문자 공개 2시간여 지난 뒤 자신의 페이스북에 "저의 부주의로 대통령과의 사적인 대화 내용이 노출되며 오해를 불러일으킨 것은 전적으로 저의 잘못"이라고 거듭 사과했다.
최영범 대통령실 홍보수석은 27일 브리핑을 통해 사적 문자 노출에 유감을 표하며 "우연찮은 기회에 노출된 문자 메시지 하나를 지나치게 확대해석하거나 정치적 의미를 과도하게 부여하는 건 바람직하지 않다"고 밝혔다.
최 수석은 이어 "대통령께서는 당은 당과 지도부가 알아 잘 꾸려나갈 일이고, 일일이 지침을 주시는 일이 없다. 여러분이 생각하시는 것처럼 이준석에 대해 부정적으로 언급하는 걸 한 번도 들은 바 없다"고 해명하면서, 이는 대통령실의 공식 입장은 아니라고 부연했다.
