창원시 아동의회 국회 탐방 나서

[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시와 시의회, 초록우산어린이재단이 공동주최한 '창원시 아동의회' 배움여행으로 국회 탐방에 나섰다.

창원시 아동의회는 2일부터 3일까지 이틀간 아동의원과 아동권리옹호활동가 등 28명이 국회 탐방에 나서 아동의 참여권 증진 및 건강한 민주시민으로의 성장을 위해 계획됐다.

이번 배움여행은 평소 뉴스나 신문에서만 접했던 국회와 청와대 등을 방문해 아이들이 직접 보고 듣고, 체험함으로써 민주주의 국가에 대한 올바른 인식을 갖는 계기가 됐다.

창원시 아동의회는 창원특례시에 거주하는 만10세 ~ 만15세의 아동 26명으로 구성해 지난 4월 13일 발대식을 시작으로 3개의 상임위원회 활동을 통해 아동이 공동체의 관심사에 대해 문제 인식을 갖고 서로 의견을 나누며 정책을 제안하는 등 아동이 권리의 주체로 목소리를 낼 수 있는 역할을 하고 있다.
