손병복 군수는 8월 주요 업무추진으로 코로나19 재확산의 선제적 대응이 무엇보다 중요함을 강조했으며, 50세 이상 4차 예방접종 권고와 개인방역 수칙 철저, 피서철 행락객 안전과 물놀이 사고예방, 식중독예방, 풍수해 대비 산불지역 사전대비 등 안전관련 선제적 대응을 당부했다.
또한, 2023년 성공적인 도민체전 준비, 신한울 3·4호기 조기건설, 청정수소실증단지등을 정부 국정과제와 연계하여 조기 추진 하겠다는 계획도 밝혔다.
