[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시 조명래 제2부시장이 취임 후 발빠른 현장행정을 펼치고 있다.
조 부시장은 4일 도시개발사업소 주요업무 보고를 받고 창원국가산업단지 확장사업 현안 사업장을 방문해 사업현장 확인과 진행상황을 점검했다.
창원국가산업단지 확장사업은 성산구 완암동, 상복동, 남지동 일원 43만6,116㎡에 총사업비 1,817억원을 투입해 제조업 중심의 산업에서 탈피해 첨단산업 중심의 새로운 유형의 산업단지로 조성하는 사업이다.
2021년 2월 국가산업단지 개발계획(변경) 및 실시계획 승인 등 관련 절차 이행 후 사업추진에 가속도를 붙여 현재 부지조성공사를 정상 추진 중이며 2024년 12월 부지조성공사가 준공되면 전기·수소 등 첨단산업 중심 11개 업종이 입주할 예정이다.
기업 수요에 적극 대응하기 위해 상복동 일원에 입주하는 한국자동차연구원 등은 작년 5월부터 순차적으로 착공하여 현재 건축공사를 진행하고 있으며 이와 연계한 도로 등 기반시설 또한 적기 공급하기 위해 공사에 더욱 박차를 가하고 있다.
또한, 올해 1월 미보상토지에 대해 수용재결 신청했으며, 8월 보상금 지급 및 공탁 절차가 완료되면 본 사업추진에 더욱 탄력이 붙을 것으로 보인다.
