고양시 일산서구보건소 치매조기검진팀에서 거동이 어려운 시민을 대상으로 ‘치매 Wi-fi 원격진료’를 시행한다.

치매는 조기에 발견하여 적절히 치료할 경우 완치 또는 중증 상태로의 진행을 억제하거나 증상을 개선하는 것이 가능하다.
치매 검진은 선별검사(CIST)를 통해 인지저하 여부를 확인하고 인지저하인 경우 진단검사 1단계(신경심리검사)와 진단검사 2단계(협력의사 진료)를 거쳐 협약병원에서 치매 원인규명을 위한 감별검사 과정으로 이루어진다.

원격 진료를 이용한 어르신은 “무릎관절 수술 후 통증 때문에 걷는 것이 불편했는데, 원격 진료로 의사 선생님을 볼 수 있어서 신기하면서 편리했다”고 소감을 밝혔다.
보건소 관계자는“치매는 초기에 적절히 치료·관리하면 환자와 그 가족의 부담을 크게 경감할 수 있다. 원격진료를 통해 치매를 조기에 발견하여 적절한 치료를 받으시기 바란다”고 밝히며 “앞으로도 치매 조기검진을 비롯해 지역사회 고령층의 인지 건강 상태에 맞춘 다양한 관리서비스를 제공하겠다”고 말했다. 고양=박정호기자
