[브레이크뉴스= 기자] 창원특례시가 투명페트병을 재활용해 7종의 기념품을 제작해 창원 ‘굿즈(기념품)’에 같이 반영해 눈길을 끌고있다.
시는 올해 자원순환 특수시책으로 투명페트병에서 재활용 원사를 뽑아 기념품을 제작하고, 시의 고유 상징물을 캐릭터로 디자인해 각종 행사 시 시민들에게 배부해 자원순환을 유도한다는 계획이다.
이 시책 추진을 위해 지난 3월부터 관내 디자인 업체에 용역을 의뢰해 디자인이 완성됐으며, 지난 7월 14일 시청회의실에서 최종 보고회를 가졌다.
시는 투명페트병 재활용 창원‘굿즈(기념품)’로 ▲파우치 ▲폴딩 다용도 파우치 ▲미니크로스백 ▲핸드타올 ▲양말 ▲캠핑용 보냉의자 ▲스카프 등 7종에 대한 디자인을 개발했고, 시 상징물인 단감, 벚꽃, 큰고니, 반디 등으로 만든 캐릭터를 창원 ‘굿즈(기념품)’에 같이 반영했다.
향후 개발한 창원‘굿즈’를 제작 및 시민들에게 배부 홍보해 폐기물이 귀중한 자원이 되고 고품질 재활용할 수 있으므로 올바른 분리배출의 필요성을 널리 알려 시민 환경인식 향상에 기여하고자 한다.
창원 단감과 진해 벚꽃을 이용한 <아삭이> , 주남저수지 큰고니와 용지호수에서 겨울나기 한 고니 가족 <용고니>, 퇴촌천, 내동천, 소사천 등에 서식한다는 반딧불이 <반디> 이렇게 우리시 상징물을 활용한 캐릭터도 탄생했다.
또한 상기 캐릭터를 활용 창원시 대표 관광지를 여행하면서 환경보호 하는 캠페인성 웹툰(컷툰)도 제작, 홍보에 재미를 더해 시민들에게 보다 친근하게 다가가 자원순환 실천을 유도하고자 한다.
아울러 시 대표 관광지도 홍보하는 일석이조의 효과를 가져 올 것으로 기대된다.
조명래 제2부시장은 “폐기물은 발생 전에 감량하고, 발생된 폐기물은 가능한 분리배출을 철저히 하여 재활용하고, 재활용된 제품은 우리가 많이 사용하여 자원이 선순환될 수 있게 생활화하는 것이 아름다운 지구를 살리는 길”이라며 “올바른 분리배출 및 1회용품 사용 안하기 등 자원순환 실천에 적극 동참하여 주시길 바란다”고 밝혔다.
