[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경남도는 농림축산식품부와 (사)한국유기농업협회가 주최하는 ‘대한민국 유기농 스타상품 경진대회’에서 2개 품목(바나나, 백미)이 국무총리상을 수상했다고 8일 밝혔다.
‘대한민국 유기농 스타상품 경진대회’는 대한민국 최고권위 유기농 식품 경진대회로 서울 코엑스에서 열린 제21회 친환경유기농무역박람회에서 펼쳐졌다.
시상은 4개 부문(곡류, 과일, 채소, 가공품)에 총 24점(대통령상1, 국무총리상 3, 농림축산식품부장관상5 등)으로 시상금 1,300만원이며, 심사는 과일류는 당도, 색, 모양, 식미감, 친환경인증, 기간, 면적 등을 곡류(백미)는 모양, 냄새, 미질, 찰기·질감, 친환경인증 보유기간 등을 종합적으로 평가했다.

이번에 수상한 진주 주미순(56·바나나) 농가는 과일 분야에서 국무총리상을 수상했다.
파프리카, 토마토 등을 재배하다가 5년 전부터 아열대 기후로 변화 등에 맞춰 진주시 대곡면에서 바나나 1.4ha를 재배하고 있는 주씨는 “국내산 바나나의 경우 후숙이 중요한데, 직접 후숙 기술을 익혀 당도, 보관 등이 우수한 바나나를 생산해 좋은 결실을 얻어 뿌듯하다”고 말했다.
산청 조용석(55·백미) 농가는 곡류 분야에서 국무총리상을 수상했다.
