[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원시의회 김이근 의장이 제9대 전반기 경남시군의회의장협의회 회장으로 선출됐다.
경남시군의회의장협의회는 9일 창원시의회 대회의실에서 제231회 정례회를 열고 제9대 전반기 경남시군의회의장협의회 회장단을 구성했다.
이날 정례회에 참석한 시군의회 의장들은 김이근 창원시의회 의장의 3선에 걸친 의정 경험과 지방의회 발전을 향한 열정을 인정해 만장일치로 김이근 창원시의회 의장을 협의회장으로 선출했다.
또한 부회장에는 통영시의회 김미옥 의장과 거창군의회 이홍희 의장이 각각 선출됐으며 감사에는 밀양시의회 정정규 의장을 호선했다.
이어 ‘항공우주청 사천 설치 정부조직법 조기 개정 촉구 건의문’을 채택했다.
김이근 협의회장은 당선 소감에서 “도내에 산적한 지역 현안과 지방의회 독립 문제 등 당면한 과제가 많다”며 “시군의장님들과 긴밀하게 소통해 모범적이고 생산적인 협의회를 만들어가겠다”고 말했다.

김 협의회장의 임기는 전반기 의회가 종료되는 2024년 6월 30일까지이다.
