브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 지난 8일부터 기록적인 호우로 중부지방에 침수 피해 및 인명 사고가 잇따르는 가운데 박강수 서울 마포구청장이 활짝 웃으며 식사하는 먹방 사진을 올렸다가 여론의 비난에 직면했다.
박강수 마포구청장은 지난 8일 저녁 자신의 페이스북에 "비가 내리는 월요일 저녁, 배가 고파서 직원들과 함께 전집에서 식사하고 있다. 맛있는 찌개에 전까지..꿀맛입니다^^♡"라고 적었다.
박 구청장은 글과 함께 올린 사진을 보면, 손가락으로 V자를 하며 웃는 모습이 담겨 있었다. 그는 해시태그로는 #마포, #마포구청, #마포구청장, #박강수, #비오는날, #월요일, #전집전, #저녁식사 등을 달았다.
그가 이러한 게시물을 올린 당시 서울 하늘은 구멍이라도 난 듯 비가 쏟아지고 있었다는 점에서 네티즌들 사이에선 논란이 불거졌다.
결국 박 구청장은 해당 게시물을 삭제했고, 9일 새벽 4시52분경 도로 땅꺼짐 현장 방문 사진을 올렸다.

네티즌들이 현장 방문 사진 게시물에 앞선 먹방 게시물을 캡쳐해 올리며 비판을 가하자, 박 구청장은 댓글을 통해 "늦게까지 일하고 너무 배고파서 퇴근길에 직원들과 같이 1만 원짜리 김치찌개와 전을 먹었다"면서 "그러나 술은 마시지 않았다. 저는 특별한 경우가 아니면 술을 마시지 않는다"고 했다. 이어 "전을 먹어서 죄송합니다"라고 비꼬는 듯한 발언도 했다.
그는 이와함께 "어제는 악의적인 댓글에 혼란스러웠다"면서 "날 밝으면 대응하도록 하겠다"고 경고하기도 했다.
그러자 한 네티즌은 댓글을 통해 "그 비판을 '악의적 댓글'로 이야기하시면 역풍이 좀 더 심할텐데"라고 응수했고, 또 다른 네티즌은 "댓글 대응이 아니라 마포구민 대응을 더 잘해달라. 마포구민이라고 피해가 없는 게 아닐 텐데 구청장이 비상상황에 식사하시고 꿀맛이라는 글 올리면 마포구민 입장과 피해를 입은 인근 지역 주민들 마음이 정말 어떻겠냐"고 꼬집었다.
한편 박 구청장은 이날 오전 9시에는 빗물펌프장을 찾아 한강 수위 상황 등을 점검했다고 밝혔다. 박 구청장은 "한강 수위와 기계 작동상황을 살펴봤다"며 "안전한 마포를 위해 최선을 다하겠다"고 말했다.
