경남도의회 지속가능발전연구회 토론회 개최

[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경상남도의회 의원 연구단체인 지속가능발전연구회(회장 한상현)는 9일 경상남도의회 대회의실에서 경남 산불대응 토론회를 가졌다.

이번 토론회는 올해 2월 경남 합천과 5월 밀양에서 대형 산불이 발생하면서 기후변화로 빈도와 규모가 커지고 있는 산불에 대한 효율적인 대응의 필요성이 대두되면서 그 해법을 모색하기 위해 추진됐다.

이날 주제발표자로 나선 부산대학교 홍석환 교수가 ‘기후위기 시대 산림 관리 방향’이란 주제로 강연을 펼쳤으며, 경남도청 강명효 산림관리과 과장이 ‘경남 산림정책 추진현황과 향후계획’에 대해 발표했다.

이어 환경운동연합 지욱철 대표가 좌장을 맡은 가운데 산불정책기술연구소 황정석 박사와 지속가능발전연구회 한상현 회장, 경남환경운동연합 시민환경연구소 임희자 실장과 산림조합중앙회 부산울산경남지역본부 강현욱 팀장, 김해양산환경운동연합 사공혜산 국장이 토론을 이어나갔다.

이날 토론회에 참석한 한상현 회장은 “산불의 원인이 다양해지고 그 피해도 날로 심각해지는 가운데, 정부와 함께 경남도 차원의 정책적인 대응방안이 절실히 요구되고 있다”면서 “오늘 각계에서 참석한 전문가들과 함께 논의한 의견들이 관련 정책과 연계 될 수 있도록 도의회 차원에서도 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편 지속가능발전연구회는 제12대 도의회 연구단체 중 하나로 지난 7월 26일 구성되어 지속가능한 경남의 발전을 위하여 활발한 활동을 이어갈 예정이다.
