홍태용 시장은 11일 시청 프레스센터에서 기자회견을 갖고 이 같은 ‘김해시민 코로나19 희망지원금’을 지급한다고 밝혔다.
코로나 변이 바이러스 재확산과 고물가·고금리·고환율의 ‘3고’ 경제상황까지 겹쳐 시민의 경제적 어려움이 가중되고 있다는 판단에서다.
홍태용 시장은 “희망지원금의 지역경기 부양효과 극대화를 위해서는 추석 전 신속한 지급이 무엇보다 중요하다고 보고 신청과 지급이 간편한 세대별 계좌 입금 방식을 선택했다”며 “지원금이 곧바로 우리지역 내 소비로 이어져 지역경제 회복의 마중물 역할을 하도록 시민 여러분들의 적극적인 동참을 부탁드린다”고 말했다.
김해시민 코로나19 희망지원금 지급대상은 8월 10일 기준 김해시에 주민등록을 둔 시민이다.

지급방식은 주민등록상 세대단위로 세대주 또는 세대원의 신청을 받아 은행계좌로 지급할 계획이며 총 545억원의 예산이 소요된다.
