[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 코로나19 장기화 등으로 경제적 어려움을 겪는 청년들의 주거비 부담을 줄이기 위한 ‘청년월세 한시 특별지원사업’을 시행한다고 12일 밝혔다.
지원 대상은 만 19세~34세 청년 중 부모와 별도로 거주하는 무주택자이며, 임차보증금 5천만 원 이하 및 월세 60만 원 이하의 요건을 갖추어야 한다.
청년가구는 기준 중위소득 60%(1인가구 기준 116만 원/월) 이하 및 총재산가액 1억 700만 원 이하이고, 원가구(청년가구&부모)는 기준 중위소득 100%(3인가구 기준 419만 원/월) 이하 및 총재산가액이 3억8천만 원 이하인 경우에 지원이 가능하다.
지원 대상자로 선정되면 월 최대 20만원 한도 내에서 실 납부 임차료를 최대 12개월 간 지원받을 수 있다.
다만, 보다 많은 청년들이 혜택을 받을 수 있도록 지자체의 기존 월세지원사업, 공공임대주택 입주 등을 통해 혜택을 받은 경우에는 이번 지원 대상에서 제외되며, 주거급여를 받고 있는 경우 20만원 한도 내에서 차액을 지원받을 수 있다.
신청을 원하는 청년은 오는 22일부터 온라인 복지로 또는 주소지 행정복지센터에서 신청할 수 있다.
소득·재산 조사 등 서류 검토를 거쳐 11월부터 지원금 지급이 시작된다.
