이번 대회는 미국 네덜란드 등 5개국에서 25개팀 170여명의 세일러가 참가해 안전하고 성공적으로 대회를 마무리 했다.
울릉도와 대한민국 최동단 독도를 돌아오는 대장정의 오프쇼어 레이스에서는 ORC 1클래스, 2클래스, 2종목에서 에이스 팀, 님파 팀이, 후포 앞바다에서 펼쳐진 인쇼어 레이스에서는 스포츠 보트, J70, J24 3종목에서 에이치쿡 팀, 평택데빌스 팀, 박력있는 팀이 각각 우승을 차지했다.
이번 대회는 요트승선, 프리마켓, 지역 생맥주 등 각종 체험부스와 대회속의 작은 대회 RC요트대회를 같이 하여 관광객들과 지역 소상공인들에게 많은 호응을 받았다.
손병복 군수는“국내 최고 수준의 국가지원 거점형 마리나항만 개발사업이 완공된 후 치러진 이번 대회에서 선수들과 관계자들이 아무런 사고 없이 좋은 경기를 펼쳐줘 감사드린다”며“아름다운 미항후포마리나에서 멋진 추억을 담아가시길 바란다”고 전했다.
