브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 권성동 국민의힘 원내대표는 22일 더불어민주당이 최근 잇따른 검찰 수사가 문재인 정부를 향한 정치보복이라고 주장하는데 대해 "민주당이 읊어대는 정치보복 타령에는 두려움이 깔려있다"고 비판했다.
권성동 원내대표는 이날 오전 국회 본관에서 열린 비상대책위원회 회의에서 "자신이 과거에 저지른 정치보복이 다시 자신에게 돌아올지 모른다는 두려움"이라며 이같이 밝혔다.
그는 "민주당은 '내가 하면 적폐청산이요, 남이 하면 정치보복' 같은 유치한 이중잣대를 버려야 한다"며 "수사와 보복의 정도는 구분해야 한다"고 일침을 가했다.
그는 "민주당이 불법행위와 의혹에 대한 적법한 수사를 정치보복이라고 왜곡하고 있다"고 주장했다.
권성동 원내대표는 "지난 19일 검찰이 월성 원전과 강제북송 사건 수사를 위해 대통령기록관을 압수수색에 대해 민주당이 정치보복이라 비난하고 나섰다"면서 "우상호 비대위원장은 정책 문제를 수사 대상으로 삼았다며 여론을 호도하고 있다"고 했다.
이어 그는 "탈원전은 망국적 책임이 분명하지만 그 어리석음은 수사 대상이 아니다"라며 "정책 추진 과정에서 위법성이 있었기 때문에 수사가 진행된 것"이라고 반박했다
강제북송 사건에 대해서도 "명백한 사례와 증거 없이 흉악범 추방이라고 왜곡하고 있다. 포승줄에 묶어 서둘러 강제북송을 결정한 이유도 석연치 않다"며 "더구나 귀순의사를 밝히면 헌법상 우리 국민이다. 국제법으로도 인권 침해 요소가 있고 당연히 수사 대상"이라고 주장했다.
