[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] 경상남도는 제61회 경상남도민체육대회를 오는 26일부터 29일까지 4일간 양산시 일원에서 개최한다고 24일 밝혔다.
제61회를 맞이하는 이번 도민체전은 경상남도의 체육발전뿐만 아니라 도민들의 ‘소통과 화합하는 축제의 장’으로 역할을 해 왔다.
이번 대회는 31개 종목(정식 28개 종목, 시범 3개 종목)에 각 시·군을 대표하는 1만 1,200여 명(선수 7,874명, 임원 3,252명)의 선수단이 참가할 예정으로, 2019년 이후 3년 만에 정상 개최된다.
시·군별 참가 규모는 시부에서 창원시가 851명으로 가장 많고 다음으로 김해시 792명, 진주시 773명 순이고, 군부는 함안군이 673명으로 가장 많으며, 거창군 642명, 고성군 580명 순이다. 이번 대회에서는 코로나19로 축소 진행되었던 지난해 경기에 비해 2배 가까운 5,540명이 더 참가할 예정이다.
