[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군이 ‘교육도시 거창! 미래를 말하다’라는 주제로 군민 100인이 참여하는 교육 토론회를 23일 개최했다.
이번 토론회는 거창교육 발전 방향과 교육시설 건립에 대한 군민들이 함께 공감하고 논의하기 위해 개최했으며, 학생·학부모·교육기관, 시민사회·문화예술 단체 등에서 약 100명이 참여해 오후 3시부터 6시까지 열띤 토론이 진행됐다.
14개 조로 모둠을 구성해 거창의 미래교육 방향 및 다양한 세대가 함께 이용할 수 있는 시설(이하 미래형 교육센터) 건립에 대해 참가자 모두의 지혜를 모으는 퍼실리테이션(Facilitation) 기법을 활용하여 폭넓은 의견을 나누었다.
토론회에 참석한 한 군민은 “이렇게 모두가 모여 거창 교육의 발전에 대해 마음을 터놓고 이야기할 수 있어 좋았다”고 소감을 전했으며 “교육시설 건립에 대한 필요성을 검토하는 논의가 선행되었으면 한다”는 아쉬움의 의견도 있었다.
구인모 군수는 “군이 일방적으로 정책을 결정하고 이해를 구하는 것이라 아니라 정책 수립 및 계획 전 단계부터 주민들의 다양한 의견수렴과 의견 청취를 위해 이번 토론회를 마련하게 되었다”며 “오늘 토론회는 군민이 직접 참여하여 계획하고 공감하는 과정을 거치는 뜻깊은 자리로 미래교육 도시 거창의 새로운 도약을 준비하는 소중한 해법이 되었으면 좋겠다”고 말했다.
