고양시 연고프로팀 고양 캐롯 점퍼스 프로농구단이 8월 25일 고양체육관에서 창단식을 개최했다.
농구단이 올해 6월 데이원자산운용에 인수된 이후 최초로 구단명이 공개된 날인만큼 관계자들의 많은 관심을 받았다.
이날 창단식에는 이동환 고양시장과 시의회 의장, 대우조선해양건설 김용빈 회장, KBL 총재, 농구단 대표이사 허재(前 국가대표 감독) 등이 참석했다.

이동환 시장은 “고양 캐롯 점퍼스 프로농구단 창단을 진심으로 축하한다. 새롭게 출범하는 농구단을 위해 고양시가 적극적으로 지원하겠다. 10월 개막하는 2022-2023 시즌에 멋진 활약을 기대한다.”고 축하의 말을 전했다.
창단식에서는 감독 및 선수단 소개와 함께 공식 엠블럼, 마스코트‘대길이’가 공개됐다.
