파주시는 8월 29일부터 9월 1일까지 파주시 홍원연수원에서 중대산업재해의 주요 원인이 되는 유해·위험요인을 사전에 발견해 예방, 개선할 수 있도록 위험성평가 전문교육을 실시한다.
「산업안전보건법」 및 「중대재해처벌법 시행령」에 따라 시행하는 위험성평가는 재해발생 가능성이 높은 유해·위험요인을 사전에 파악, 제거 및 대체해 재해를 예방하는 것을 목적으로 한다.
위험성평가는 ▲1단계 사전 준비 ▲2단계 유해·위험요인 파악 ▲3단계 위험성 추정 ▲4단계 위험성 결정 ▲5단계 감소대책 수립 및 실행 등의 단계를 거쳐 반기 1회 실시해야 한다.

교육은 도급·용역·위탁 분야별 작업 특성을 고려해 현업업무종사자 소속 부서의 담당 공무원, 시설물 유지관리 민간업체 담당자, 건설공사 발주 담당 공무원 등 위험성평가 담당자 99명(공무원 77명, 수급업체 22명)을 대상으로 진행된다.
시는 이번 교육을 시작으로 2022년 하반기 위험성평가를 실시해 작업 현장의 안전 위해요소를 적극적으로 발굴하고 개선해 나갈 예정이다.
파주시 관계자는 “지자체 특성상 다양한 사업 추진에 따른 여러 작업이 행해지는 만큼 부서 담당자가 작업에 관한 위험요인을 파악해 현장에 맞는 작업 수칙을 준수할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.[파주=박정호기자]
