공영주차장 조성은 건물식으로 2층 3단, 주차 119면의 규모로 진행되며 내년 5월 중 완료돼 시민들에게 개방될 계획이다.
지역 주민들은 “금촌동은 관공서, 상가, 아파트 등이 밀집해 있지만 주차장 등 편의시설이 부족해 지속적인 공영주차장 확충이 필요하다“고 건의했다.
