고양시 농업기술센터가 안전한 농산물 생산을 위해 농업인 30명을 대상으로 PLS 농약안전사용 및 시설토양관리, 농업용 미생물 활용에 대한 교육을 8월 31일 실시했다.
PLS는 국내 사용등록 또는 잔류허용기준이 설정된 농약 이외에 등록되지 않은 농약은 사용을 금지하는 제도를 말한다.
국민의 건강을 보호하고 국내 농산물의 경쟁력을 강화하고자 2019년부터 실시되었으며 지속적으로 강화되는 추세다.
2022년부터 농산물의 잔류농약 검사성분이 320종에서 463종으로 확대됐다.
부적합률이 높은 농산물은 파, 상추, 시금치 순으로, 토양 살충제 농약성분이 많이 검출되고 있다.

농산물 안전관리가 강화됨에 따라 고양시는 부적합 농산물 양산을 방지하고, 농업인의 피해를 예방하기 위해 이번 교육을 실시했다.
시는 집중 컨설팅과 교육으로 농산물 부적합률을 줄여 나갈 방침이다.
시 관계자는 “안전한 농산물 생산을 위해 재배 전 토양분석을 실시할 것을 권장한다. 또한 농약과 화학비료 사용을 줄이기 위해 광합성균, 고초균, 등의 농업용 미생물을 활용하시기 바란다.”고 당부했다.
