법무부 법무보호위원 경기북부지부협의회(회장 김명달)는 추석을 맞이하여 9월 1일 한국법무보호복지공단 경기북부지부(지부장 정상구)에 법무보호사업기금 200만원을 기부하였다.
이날 기금 전달식에는 정상구 지부장, 노용 법무보호과장, 경기북부지부협의회 김명달 회장, 기천서 사무처장, 구구회 자문위원이 참석하였다.
경기북부지부협의회는 매년 명절을 맞이하여 기부활동을 하고 있으며 올해 명절에도 어김없이 경기북부지부에 방문하여 기금과 함께 따듯한 마음을 전달하였다.

법무보호사업지원 목적으로 기부 받은 기금은 긴급지원, 가족지원, 숙식제공, 사회성향상교육 등의 다양한 법무보호사업에 사용될 예정이다.
김명달 회장은 “법무보호대상자들의 성공적인 자립과 안정적인 사회복귀를 위해 법무보호기금이 유익하게 사용되길 바라며, 더 많은 법무보호대상자들이 지역사회 내에서 잘 적응하고 사회구성원으로서 자리를 잡을 수 있도록 더 적극적인 활동을 이어나가겠다”고 소감을 전했다.
정상구 지부장은 “경기북부지부협의회의 기부금을 통해 어려운 상황 속에 처한 경기북부지역 법무보호대상자들이 더욱더 힘을 낼 수 있을 것이며, 꾸준한 활동과 아낌없는 후원에 무한한 감사를 드린다.”고 전했다.[박정호 기자]
