충남도가 기후위기 대응과 탄소중립?탈석탄 실천 선도 정책 모색을 위해 국내외 중앙?지방정부, 전문가 등과 머리를 맞댄다.
도는 ‘푸른 하늘의 날(9월 7일)’과 연계해 6∼7일 예산 스플라스 리솜에서 ‘충청남도 기후위기 선제 대응 탄소중립?탈석탄 2022 국제 컨퍼런스’를 개최한다고 밝혔다.
‘탄소중립 가속화 : 대전환과 도약’을 주제로 한 이번 컨퍼런스는 도와 충남연구원이 주최?주관한다.
컨퍼런스에는 김태흠 지사와 조길연 도의회 의장, 김지철 도교육감, 홍문표?이명수 국회의원, 김상협 탄소중립녹색성장위원회 공동위원장, 캐서린 스테워트 캐나다 기후변화대사, 마하마두 통카라 글로벌녹색성장기구(GGGI) 국장, 아이너 옌센 주한덴마크대사 등이 참가한다.
또 한화진 환경부 장관과 반기문 UN 전 사무총장, 알록 샤르마 COP26 의장, 일본 가바시마 이쿠오 구마모토현지사와 아라이 쇼고 나라현지사, 카도카와 다이사쿠 일본 교토 시장, 중국 왕둥펑 허베이성장, 맷 킨 호주 뉴사우스웨일즈 재무장관 등은 온라인이나 영상으로 참여한다.
행사 첫 날인 6일에는 김태흠 지사의 정책 발표에 이은 개막식, 탄소중립 로드맵 세션 등을 진행한다.
김 지사는 정책 발표를 통해 도의 탄소중립 5대 추진 전략을 밝힐 예정이다.
개막식에서는 김상협 위원장이 ‘기후위기 위험과 미래 예측’을 주제로 기조연설을 갖고, 김철현 현대오일뱅크 중앙기술연구원장 ‘산업 분야 온실가스 감축 핵심 사업’ 사례를 발표한다.
기조연설에 이어서는 탄소발자국 완성 퍼포먼스를 진행, 탄소중립 실천 의지를 다진다.
4개 분야로 나눈 탄소중립 로드맵 세션에서는 △김주진 기후솔루션 대표가 ‘우리는 기후위기와 싸우고 있다 : 지역?노동 전환’을 △이유진 녹색전환연구소 부소장이 ‘2030년 국가 온실가스 감축 목표(NDC)와 7년의 과제 : 에너지 전환’을 △강석태 카이스트 교수가 ‘탄소중립 발자취와 앞으로의 도약 : 정책 전환’을 △박기남 충남에너지전환네트워크 운영위원장이 ‘기후위기에서 살아남기 : 기후변화 적응’을 주제로 발제한다.
각 세션에는 김동일 보령시장과 김명숙 도의회 의원, 유재룡 도 미래산업국장, 마두라 조쉬 인도 E3G 선임보좌관, 도내 농어업인과 장애인, 노동자, 청소년, 사회복지서비스 종사자 등이 참여해 토론을 펼친다.
