민생당 양건모 수석대변인은 9월6일자 “민생당은 태풍 ‘힌남노’ 피해 최소화와 복구작업에 함께 하겠습니다”라는 제목의 논평에서 “태풍 제11호 ‘힌남노’는 한반도에 큰 피해를 준 ‘매미’, ‘루사’ 등보다 규모나 풍속에서 더 초대형 태풍입니다”고 설명하고 “현 정부와 중앙재난안전대책본부는 태풍‧호우 대응 수위를 3단계로 격상시켜 전국적인 피해에 대비하고 있고, 현장에 ‘선 조치-후 보고’ 지침을 내리고, 즉각적이고 적절한 조치 노력을 기울이고 있다고 합니다. 정부는 자연재해가 인재가 되지 않도록, 치밀하고 과학적인 대처를 하는 동시에, ‘힌남로’로 인한 피해의 즉각적인 복구와 보상조치를 마련해야 합니다. 민생당도 태풍 ‘힌남노’ 피해 최소화와 복구작업에 함께 하겠습니다”고 덧붙였다.
