브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 경찰이 '성남FC 후원금 의혹'과 관련, 이재명 더불어민주당 대표에게 제3자뇌물공여 혐의가 인정된다고 보고, 검찰에 기소 의견으로 넘겼다.
경기남부경찰청 반부패·경제범죄수사대는 13일 이 대표에게 특정범죄가중처벌법상 제3자뇌물공여 혐의를 적용한 보완수사 결과를 검찰에 통보했다.
경찰은 이재명 대표에게 혐의가 없다는 결론을 내리고 사건을 불송치했으나 검찰의 보완수사 요청에 따라 재수사한 결과, 범죄 혐의점이 있다고 본 것이다.
앞서 이재명 대표는 성남시장(성남FC 구단주)으로 재직하던 2014~2016년 두산건설로부터 50억원 상당의 후원금을 받고, 두산그룹이 소유하고 있던 성남시 분당구 정자동 병원부지 용도변경 등 편의를 제공한 혐의를 받고 있다.
당시 성남시는 용적률과 건축 규모, 연면적 등을 3배가량 높여주고 전체 부지 면적의 10%만 기부채납 받았다. 이를 두고 두산 측에 막대한 특혜를 준 것이라는 의혹이 제기된 바 있다.
한편 이와 관련 김의겸 민주당 대변인은 이날 "검찰은 추석 연휴를 겨냥해 ‘이재명 죽이기’ 1편과 2편을 잇달아 내놓았다. 대장동과 백현동이 각각의 소재였다"며 "그러나 흥행에 실패하고 말았고, 국민 여론은 ‘정치 탄압’이라고 혀를 찼다. 그러자 이번에는 성남FC로 소재만 살짝 바꿔 ‘이재명 죽이기’ 3탄을 내놓았다"고 맹비판했다.
김의겸 대변인은 "경찰은 돈의 성격을 문제 삼고 있지만, 광고영업에 따른 비용지불일 뿐이고 지극히 합법적이고 투명하게 처리됐다. 모두 성남시민들을 위해 사용됐다"며 "경찰이 ‘공상 같은 혐의’를 입증하려면 광고비가 이 대표에게 흘러들어갔다는 증거를 내보여야 하지만 아무 것도 나온 게 없다"고 주장했다.
이어 그는 "대선이 임박해 검찰이 죽은 사건‘을 다시 살려내 경찰에 다시 수사하라고 요구했지만, 그 사이에 변한 것은 아무 것도 없다"며 "심지어 이재명 대표를 소환조사한 적도 없는데도 결론이 180도 뒤집혔다. 우격다짐도 이런 우격다짐이 없다"고 비난했다.

Earlier, CEO Lee Jae-myung is suspected of receiving 5 billion won worth of donations from Doosan Engineering & Construction from 2014-2016 when he served as Seongnam Mayor (Seongnam FC owner) and providing convenience such as changing the use of the Jeongja-dong hospital site in Bundang-gu, Seongnam, which Doosan Group.
At that time, there was a suspicion that Seongnam City tripled its floor area, building size, and total floor area, and received a donation of only 10% of the total site area, which gave Doosan preferential treatment.
Meanwhile, Kim Eui-gyeom, a spokesman for the Democratic Party of Korea, said on the same day, "The prosecution released the first and second films of 'Killing Lee Jae-myung' one after another for the Chuseok holiday." Spokesman Kim Eui-gyeom said, "The police are taking issue with the nature of the money, but it was only a payment for advertising sales and was handled extremely legally and transparently. All of them were used for Seongnam citizens, he said. "The police have to show evidence that advertising costs have flowed into CEO Lee to prove 'fantasy charges,' but nothing has come out."
He then said, "We asked the police to reinvestigate the case of the prosecution's death due to the imminent presidential election, but nothing has changed in the meantime," adding, "The conclusion was reversed 180 degrees even though we have never summoned Lee Jae-myung." He criticized, "There is no such strong commitment."
