파주시는 9월 13일 파주시청 본관 2층 영상회의실에서 파주시장, 여성정책전문가, 여성단체 및 시설 대표, 시민대표가 참석한 가운데 여성정책 전문 자문그룹 회의를 개최했다.

이날 회의에서는 한국여성정책연구원 조영주 부연구위원을 포함해 10명을 위촉하고, 성평등 정책 추진 기반 강화를 위한 조직 체계 개편, 공무원 및 시민 대상 성인지 역량 강화 교육 확대, 여성의 경제 참여 활성화 방안 모색, 성매매 집결지 점진적 폐쇄 전략, 젠더폭력 피해자 보호 강화 등 여성권익증진에 대해 다양한 의제를 논의했다.
김경일 파주시장은 “오늘 회의를 통해 제안되고 논의된 성평등 현안을 좀 더 면밀히 검토하고 계획을 수립해 성 평등한 파주시 조성을 위해 노력하겠다”라며, “앞으로도 성평등 정책을 추진하는 과정에서 전문가와 시민의 의견에 귀 기울여 정책의 실효성을 높일 수 있도록 민·관 협력 체계를 다양하게 마련하겠다”고 말했다.[파주=박정호기자]
