토론회는 민선8기 정책 중 현 시기에 필요한 부분들을 되짚어보면서, 2023년도 본예산 준비의 초석을 다지기 위해 개최됐다.

이날 △민선8기 역점사업 선정 △고양시 재정비 사업 추진 방향 공유 △2023년도 신규 예산사업·조정사업 등 다양한 분야에 대한 간부 공무원 토의가 이뤄졌다.
더불어 안충영 박사를 초빙해 ‘경제자유구역 지정을 위한 전략과 과제’를 주제로 특강이 실시됐다.

안충영 박사는 “경제자유구역 지정은 자족도시의 첫 걸음이며 수도권 규제 제한을 풀 수 있는 유일한 길이다. 고양시가 가지고 있는 장점을 바탕으로 타 시군과 차별화되는 도시 경쟁력을 갖출 때 경제자유구역으로 지정될 수 있다.”고 말했다.
이동환 고양특례시장은 “오늘 논의된 내용을 내년도 본예산에 담아 시민이 살기 좋은 도시를 만들 수 있도록 간부공무원들이 책임과 열정을 다해주시기 바란다.”고 당부했다. [고양=박정호기자]
