【브레이크뉴스 울진】이우근 기자=한국수력원자력(주) 한울원자력본부(본부장 박범수, 이하 한울본부)는 16일 죽변면 도서관에 도서 구입비 8천만 원을 전달했다고 밝혔다.

한울본부에 따르면 이번 지원으로 죽변면 도서관은 일반자료, 어린이 자료, 큰 활자자료, 독립출판자료 및 다문화자료 등 장서 약 5천 권을 마련하여 지역의 중요한 문화인프라로 자리매김할 예정이다.
한울본부는 도서 구입비 지원 외에도 2006년 죽변면 도서관 어린이 열람실 증축 및 2018년 ‘다독다독 책수레 지원’ 사업을 통한 이동식 도서관 구축 등을 지원한 바 있다.
전달식에 참석한 이성우 죽변도서관장은 “독서문화 증진을 위한 한울본부의 노력 덕분에 지역주민과 학생들이 책읽는 즐거움을 마음껏 누릴 수 있겠다”며 감사를 표했다.
이에 손봉순 대외협력처장은 “앞으로도 한울본부는 장서 다양화 및 도서관 시설 개선에 지원을 아끼지 않고, 양질의 독서환경을 조성하기 위해 노력하겠다”고 화답했다.
한울본부는 앞으로도 다양한 지원사업을 통해 주민들의 삶의 질 향상에 기여할 것이다.
