고양시가 지난 23일, 고양시의회 영상회의실에서 ‘제6기 시민감사관 위촉식’을 가졌다.
제6기 시민감사관은 제5기 시민감사관의 임기가 만료됨에 따라 지난 7월 20일부터 8월 5일까지 공개모집했으며 총68명이 지원했다.

선정 결과 전문분야(시설, 도시계획, 환경, 보건, 세무, 회계, 사회복지, 정보통신) 15명과 일반분야 5명이 최종 선정됐다.
제6기 시민감사관의 임기는 2022년 9월 1일부터 2024년 8월 31일까지 2년이다.
시민감사관은 ▲시민생활 불편·불만사항 제보 ▲공무원 관련 비위, 위법 부당 행정행위 등 제보 ▲시정발전을 위해 필요한 사항 건의 ▲구, 직속기관, 시 공공기관 등에 대한 종합감사 및 특정감사에 참여해 의견을 제시하는 등 시정운영에 대한 감시자 역할을 하게 된다.
위촉식에 이어서 간담회가 진행됐다. 간담회에서 시민감사관들은 앞으로의 활동 방향과 역할을 공유하고 청렴문화 확산자로서의 의지를 다졌다.
