창원특례시, “진전면 상촌마을 도랑살리기”

[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 29일 마산합포구 진전면 상촌마을 도랑살리기 협약식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

도랑살리기 사업은 마을주민, 민간단체, 지자체, 기업과 협력을 바탕으로 주기적인 환경교육, 정화활동, 수생식물 식재, 문화행사 등 여러 가지 활동으로 주민참여를 유도하고 환경의 중요성 인식을 확산시켜 지속적으로 마을도랑의 수질 및 수생태계 복원과 재오염을 방지해 마산만 수생태계 회복을 목표로 하고 있다.

그동안 시는 마산만 수질개선을 위해 마산합포구 관내 도랑살리기 사업을 지속적으로 추진하고 있었으며, 이번 진전면 상촌마을 도랑살리기 협약식도 그 일환으로 개최했다.

상촌마을 구자권 이장은 “쓰레기를 함부로 태우거나 버리지 말기, 일반쓰레기는 종량제 봉투 사용하고 재활용품 가능 쓰레기는 재활용품으로 분리하여 배출하기, 농약 빈병과 폐비닐은 반드시 수거함에 버리기 등 일상생활 속 실천을 통해 그 옛날 가재잡고 물놀이하던 맑고 깨끗한 우리마을 도랑으로 다시 돌아가도록 마을주민 여러분의 협조가 필요하다”고 강조했다.
