브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 이랜드그룹은 4일 보도자료를 통해 이랜드재단, NC대전유성점, 대전시 유성구가 지난달 29일 대전 유성구청에서 복지사각지대 해소와 사회적 안전망 구축을 위한 사회공헌 협약식을 가졌다고 밝혔다. 이날 협약식에는 이랜드재단 장광규 이사장, NC대전유성점 박찬욱 지점장, 유성구청 정용래 구청장이 참석했다.
이번 협약을 통해 유성구 위기가정에 생계비, 치료비, 주거비 등을 우선적으로 지원할 수 있어 복지사각지대에 놓인 가정의 위기 해소에 큰 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.
이랜드재단의 ‘위기가정지원사업’은 경제적, 심리적, 사회적으로 어려움에 처한 위기가정을 대상으로 상황에 따른 다방면의 지원을 통해 위기 상황을 해소하고 가정해체를 예방해 사회적 안전망을 구축하는 사업이다.
NC대전유성점은 이랜드리테일 대표 사회공헌활동인 ‘사랑의 장바구니사업’을 통해 매월 유성구 내 취약가정 50곳에 맞춤형 생필품을 전달하는 등 지역 사회공헌을 활발히 진행 중이다. 이를 통해 생계지원은 물론 정기적인 안부확인을 통해 민간기업이 지역사회 돌봄 공동체 구축에 적극적으로 나서고 있다.
이랜드재단 장광규 이사장은 “코로나19 이후 복지사각지대는 더 다양해지고 확대되고 있는 상황”이라며 “이번 협약을 통해 위기가정을 보다 신속하고 효과적으로 도울 수 있는 사회적 안전망이 구축되기를 바란다”고 말했다.
