브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 국내에서 100년 역사를 자랑하는 기업은 14곳으로 집계됐다. 지난 1일 메리츠화재(1922년 창립)가 창립 100주년을 맞으면서 국내 14번째 백년기업으로 이름을 올렸다.
이 중 재무 보고서 제출이 의무화된 2000년부터 재무 비교가 가능한 기업은 11곳이고, 이들의 자산 총액은 지난 21년간 132조원에서 940조원으로 7배 이상 불었다. 매출액도 19조원에서 74조원으로 4배 가량 성장했다.
CEO스코어는 보도자료를 통해 2022년 10월 현재 창사 100주년을 넘긴 14개 국내 기업 중 2000년부터 지난해까지 재무 현황 비교가 가능한 11개사의 성장세를 비교한 결과, 해당 기간 백년기업들의 자산은 611.1%, 매출액(영업수익)은 290.6% 증가했다고 밝혔다.
이번 조사에서 비주거용 건물 임대업을 영위하는 대륙지에스는 최초 재무 보고서 제출연도가 2012년이라 이번 조사 대상에 포함시키지 않았다. 조선일보와 동아일보 역시 일반 기업체와 사업 성격이 달라 제외했다.
조사 기업 11곳은 △강원여객자동차 △경방 △광장 △동화약품 △두산 △메리츠화재 △몽고식품 △성창기업지주 △신한은행 △우리은행 △KR모터스다.
조사결과 11개 백년기업의 자산은 132조1700억원에서 939조8570억원으로, 매출액은 18조9430억원에서 73조9910억원으로 늘었다. 외환위기 후폭풍으로 지난 2000년 마이너스(-) 2조2790억원의 적자를 낸 이들 11개 백년기업은 2021년에는 6조2410억원의 순익을 냈다.
11곳의 백년기업 중 자산 증가율이 가장 높은 곳은 메리츠화재로 2000년 1조6490억원에서 지난해 27조6890억원으로 1579.5% 늘었다. 이어 신한은행과 우리은행이 각각 814.1%, 471.5%의 자산 증가율을 기록했다.

순이익 부문에서는 두산이 무려 4만6116.0%의 증가율로 1위를 기록했다. 몽고식품은 7556.9%의 고성장을 기록했으며, 신한은행도 2410.5%에 이르는 순익 증가율을 보였다. 2001년 외환위기속에 일시적 적자를 보였던 우리은행과 메리츠화재는 2021년 대규모 흑자를 기록했다.
