브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 한덕수 국무총리는 최근 SK C&C 판교 데이터센터 화재로 불거진 카카오 네트워크망 장애와 관련 "우리는 세계적인 IT 강국이다. 이번 사고는 이러한 IT 강국의 명성에 걸맞지 않다"면서 원인 규명 및 재발방지책 마련을 지시했다.
한덕수 총리는 18일 오전 정부세종청사에서 열린 제46회 국무회의에서 "지난 주말 판교 데이터센터 화재 사고로 많은 국민들께서 큰 불편을 겪었다. 완전한 정상화까지는 시간이 더 소요될 것으로 보인다"며 이같이 밝혔다.
그는 "네트워크망에 문제가 생기면 국민의 일상이 마비되고 국가 안보에도 치명적일 수 있다"며 "결코 안일하게 지나칠 수 없는 문제다. 우선은 신속한 복구에 주력하고, 철저한 원인 규명과 함께 다각적인 재발 방지책을 마련해 주시길 바란다"고 당부했다.
그러면서 "관계부처에서는 또한 국민 보호 관점에서 제도 정비가 필요한 사항은 없는지 적극 검토해주시기 바란다"고 덧붙였다.
한 총리는 또한 이번 사고가 난 SK C&C를 비롯해 서비스 장애를 겪은 카카오와 네이버 등을 겨냥해서도 "국민들의 의존도가 높은 기술과 서비스는 그에 상응하는 소비자 보호 의무와 책임 또한 높아야 한다"며 기업들의 사회적 책임을 강조했다.
