브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 이재명 더불어민주당 대표는 20일 검찰의 민주당사 압수수색 시도와 관련 "대선자금 운운하는데 불법자금은 1원 본 일도, 쓴 일도 없다. 진실은 명백하다"고 주장했다.
이재명 대표는 이날 오전 긴급 의원총회 직후 기자들과 만나 "대선자금이라고 하는데 정권이 바뀌고 검찰 수사진이 바뀌니 말이 바뀌었다"며 이같이 밝혔다.
이 대표는 이날 의총에서 "만약 대선자금으로 줬다는 주장이 맞는다면 남욱이란 사람이 작년 가을쯤인가 귀국할 때 인터뷰한 게 있다. 또 자기들끼리 대화 녹취록에 이런 얘기가 있다. 우리끼리 돈 주고받은 건 성남시장실에서 알면 큰일 난다, 죽을 때까지 비밀로 하자. 그런 얘기 나온다"면서 "정권이 바뀌고 검찰 수사진이 바뀌니 말이 바뀌었다"고 주장했다.
이어 그는 "국정감사 중 야당 중앙당사를 압수수색하는 일은 대한민국 역사상 처음 있는 일"이라며 "정치가 아니라 이건 그야말로 탄압"이라고 지적하기도 했다.
그는 "지금 민생이 어렵고, 북한 도발로 한반도 평화가 위기를 맞고 있는 상황에서 (정부여당은) 국민이 맡긴 권력을 야당 중앙당사 압수수색 하는데 소진하는 게 참 안타깝다"고 비판했다.
그러면서 "역사가 퇴행하고 있다. 우린 함께 싸워 민주주의를 지키고 역사 퇴행 막아야 한다"고 덧붙였다.
이 대표는 아울러 전날 최측근으로 분류되는 김용 민주연구원 부원장이 체포된데 대해선 "오랫동안 믿고 함께 했던 사람"이라며 "저는 여전히 그의 결백함을 믿는다"고 말했다.
