피카소가 1905년에 그린 누드화인 꽃바구니를 든 처녀는 미국의 석유왕인 록펠러 가문이 소장하고 있었습니다. 존 D 록펠러(1839-1937) 막내 손자인 데이비드 록펠러(1915-2017)가 살던 미국 뉴욕의 맨해튼 65번가 맨션 로비에 걸려 있었다고 합니다.

이건희 전 삼성그룹 회장(1942-2020)이 사망한 이후, 그의 예술품 컬렉션이 인구에 회자되고 있습니다. 그 가운데, 필자의 관심 사항은 누드화 부분이어서, 그 분의 누드화 소장 이유에 주목하고 있습니다.
