[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 의료취약지역인 서부경남 공공병원 설립이 본격화 될 전망이다.
경남도는 지역민에게 양질의 의료서비스를 제공하고 코로나19 등 대규모 감염병에 대응하기 위해 경남의료원 진주병원 설립과 거창·통영적십자병원 신축 이전을 본격화한다고 21일 밝혔다.
서부경남 공공병원 확충사업은 경남도의 공공보건의료 강화대책 및 공공병원 신?증축 지원방안 발표에 따라 2019년도부터 추진되어 왔다.
그동안은 사업 추진의 공감대를 형성하는 등 사업당위성을 확보하고 국비 지원 여부, 사업계획 수립을 위한 절차를 이행해왔다면, 민선8기에는 병원설립계획 수립, 실시설계, 공사시행 등 실질적인 사업시행 단계에 접어들었다.
경남도는 사업 진행 시점에 맞추어 부서 내 시설분야 전문인력을 보강하는 등 내실 있는 사업 추진을 위해 속도를 내고 있다.
경상남도의료원 진주병원은 진주국가항공산단 내에 19개 진료과목, 300병상 규모로 2027년 개원 예정이다.
지난해 12월 국무회의에서 예비타당성 조사를 면제하는 것으로 결정됐으며, 올해 1월부터 11월 말까지 기획재정부에서 사업비에 대한 적정성 검토가 진행되고 있다.
적정성 검토 결과에 따라 총사업비와 국비 지원금액, 건축규모 등이 구체적으로 결정되면 사업은 급물살을 탈 전망이다.
경남도는 적정성 검토 완료 시기에 맞추어 의료?운영체계 수립 용역 시행을 준비하고 있다.
이에 병원 설립을 위한 의료원의 기능과 역할, 진료계획, 의료장비계획, 조직?인력계획 등에 대한 구체적인 계획 수립과 설계공모 시행 전 건축기획심의 절차의 이행과 의료원 정체성에 부합하는 건축설계안 선정을 위한 준비 수행 등 용역을 준비 중이다.
사업자 선정을 위한 공고문은 20일 게시했으며, 11월부터는 10개월 간 의료?운영체계 용역을 시행하고 용역결과를 바탕으로 2024년부터 15개월 간 기본 및 실시설계를 진행하게 된다.
통영권과 거창권의 적십자병원 이전?신축은 대한적십자사가 추진하고 있다.
