박완수 도지사, ‘교통사고로부터 어린이 안전 보장’ 밝혀

[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 박완수 경상남도지사는 24일 오전 경남경찰청 신관 대강당에서 열린 ‘2022년 어린이 교통사고 제로화 촉진대회’에 참석해 경남녹색어머니연합회 회원들을 격려했다.

이번 대회는 어린이 통학로의 현장 실태조사와 초등학생 등.하교를 지도하는 등 어린이들의 교통사고를 줄이는 데 힘써온 녹색어머니회 회원들을 격려하고 올바른 교통문화를 확산하고자 개최됐다.

박 지사를 비롯해 김진부 도의회의장, 박종훈 교육감, 김병수 경남경찰청장 등을 비롯해 녹색어머니회 회원 350여 명이 참석한 가운데 녹색어머니회 활동영상 시청, 유공자 시상, 녹색어머니 약속문 선언 및 기념촬영 순으로 진행됐다.

경남도는 경남녹색어머니연합회를 비롯한 도내 유관기관과 협력해 어린이 통학로 시설 및 어린이 보호구역 개선사업을 추진해 교통사고 줄이기에 힘써 나가고 있다.

박완수 도지사는 “이번 대회는 경남의 미래인 우리 어린이들의 교통사고 방지를 위해 도민들 모두가 인식하기 위해 마련된 자리”라며 “어린이들이 교통사고로부터 완전히 안전해질 때까지 함께 힘을 모아 교육환경을 개선함으로써 교통사고 제로화에 동력이 되는 데에 힘을 쏟겠다”고 말했다.
