한화진 환경부장관, 낙동강 물 문제 논의차 경남도 방문

[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 박완수 경남도지사가 24일 경남도청을 방문한 한화진 환경부 장관을 만나 낙동강 물 문제 등 현안에 대해 논의하고, 문제 해결을 위해 상호협력해 나가기로 했다.

박 지사는 “창원, 김해, 양산 등 중동부 경남도민에게도 맑은 물을 공급해야 할 의무가 있으며, 주민의견 수렴을 위해 민관협의체를 조속히 구성해 취수지역에 있는 주민과 지속적인 소통을 통해 대책을 마련해야한다”고 말했다.

이어 “취수지역의 주민피해가 없어야 하며, 물 이용장애 등 주민 우려를 해소할 수 있는 과학적 근거가 있는 대책이 있어야 한다”며 “부득이 주민피해가 발생하는 경우 실질적인 보상과 정부차원의 지원을 위해 환경부에서 최선을 다해 줄 것”을 요청했다.
