경상남도가 후원하고 대한미용사회 경상남도지회가 주관하는 제19회 경상남도지사배 미용예술경연대회가 25일 마산실내체육관에서 개최했다.
미용예술경연대회는 우리나라의 미용기술이 k-팝과 드라마에서 시작된 한류 열풍에 힘입어 다양해지고 전문화되는 시점에서, 한국인의 뛰어난 헤어 미용 기술 과 미적 감각을 지닌 우수한 경남 미용인을 발굴·육성하여 세계 속 경남 K-미용 뷰티의 위상을 드높이기 위한 대회이다.
이번 대회는 학생부(고등학생, 대학생), 일반부로 나눠 헤어, 피부, 메이크업 등 86개 종목 200여 명의 선수가 기량을 겨뤘다.
각 종목별 우수선수 30명은 대상인 도지사상을 수상하는 영예를 안았으며, 그 외 대한미용사회 경상남도지회장상으로 금상·은상·동상·장려상이 수여됐다.
이날 미용예술경연대회는 도민들이 함께 참여하는 네일, 바디페인팅 등 무료 체험행사와 최신 미용기자재 및 미용작품 전시, 헤어쇼 등 다양한 볼거리가 가득한 축제의 장이었다.
박완수 지사는 영상메시지를 통해 “이번 행사가 도민과 미용인들이 함께 즐기는 축제가 되기를 기대”하며 “앞으로도 선의의 경쟁 속에 유능하고 창조적인 경남의 우수한 미용인 발굴과 미용 뷰티산업이 경남의 미래 먹거리로 자리 잡을 수 있도록 노력해 나가겠다”고 전했다.
