[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시 마산회원구 회성동 396번지 일원에 추진 중인 창원 자족형복합행정타운 도시개발사업의 본격적인 부지조성 공사가 내년 초 실시된다.
창원자족형복합행정타운은 70만 3,954㎡ 부지에 2026년까지 6,269억원의 사업비를 투입해 행정과 주거의 기능을 합친 복합행정타운의 부지를 조성하는 사업으로 부지조성이 완료되면 창원지방법원 마산지원, 마산회원구청을 비롯한 공공기관 13개와 공동주택 5,930세대, 공원 8개소 등이 들어설 예정이다.
사업시행자인 창원자족형복합행정타운 주식회사는 지난 5월 보상 협의를 착수해, 내년 1분기 내 보상 절차를 마무리하고 본격적인 부지조성공사를 실시해 2025년 9월에 공사 준공, 2026년 하반기에는 부지매각을 완료하고 법인을 청산해 사업을 마무리할 예정이다.
사업이 완료되면 인근의 내서읍과 석전동에 비해 상대적으로 개발이 이루어지지 않았던 회성동, 두척동이 개발됨으로써 도시의 균형발전을 도모할 수 있으며 5,930세대 공동주택 공급으로 현재 6천여명인 회성동의 인구 증가에 기여할 것으로 보인다.
