[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 홍남표 창원특례시장은 25일 창원대학교 글로벌 대강당에서 ‘정치와 과학기술’이라는 주제로, 학생들이 궁금해 하는 미래 진로에 대해 진솔하게 대화하며 공감대를 만들어가는 조금은 특별한 특강 시간을 가졌다.
허혜연 교수의 사회로 진행된 이 날 특강은 ‘도전과 창조’ 교양강좌 수강생 300여 명이 참석한 가운데 기존의 딱딱한 강연 형식에서 벗어나 학생들이 궁금해하는 질문에 답하는 대화 형식으로, 자율적인 모습을 통해 청년들의 생각을 듣는 시간이 됐다.
홍 시장은 지난 수십년 간의 공직생활을 통해 얻은 경험을 바탕으로, 창원특례시의 시정방향과 미래비전에 대해 학생들과 진솔하게 대화를 나누고 학생들이 고민하는 미래에 대한 불안감과 비젼에 대해 허심탄회하게 입장을 들어보는 시간을 가졌다.

홍 시장은 4차 산업혁명이라는 거대한 변화의 흐름에 발맞춰 원전, 방산, 수소 등 창원 주력산업을 발전시켜 창원경제 활력을 되찾고 해양 등 풍부한 관광자원을 업그레이드해 한층 더 매력적인 도시로 발돋움 할 수 있는 방안도 제시했다.
