대한민국 국민들은 두 보수 정권이 무너지는 것을 목도했다. 힘없이 무너졌다. 험악했던 탄압이 종지부 되는 것을 봤다. 거대한 권력이 붕괴되는 순간을 지켜봤다. 한 권력은 박정희 권력이었다. 지난 1979년 10,26. 김재규 당시 중앙정보부장은 박정희 대통령의 머리와 가슴을 향해 권총을 발사했다. 그리고 확인 사살까지 했다. 박정희는 그 자리에서 절명(絶命)했다. 18년 6개월 장기집권, 서슬퍼런 군사독재 정권이 순간에 무너졌다.
