브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 박지원 전 국정원장은 윤석열 대통령의 측근으로 불리는 조상준 국가정보원 기조실장의 사의 표명에 대해 "저도 이유는 잘 모르겠다"면서 "인사 문제로 국정원장과 충돌한다는 풍문은 들었다"고 밝혔다.
박지원 전 원장은 26일 자신의 페이스북을 통해 "국정원 ‘왕실장’ 조상준 기조실장께서 국정감사 개시 직전 사의 표명했다는 속보에 저도 깜놀(깜짝 놀랐다)"이라며 이같이 말했다.
그는 "만약 사의가 수리된다면 검찰 논리로 국정원을 재단하는 분보다는 국정원 시각으로 국정원을 개혁하고 발전시킬 국정원 내부 인사로 승진이 됐으면 좋겠다"고 강조했다.
한편 윤석열 대통령은 이날 오전 조상준 실장의 사표를 수리한 것으로 전해졌다.
대통령실 관계자는 이날 "조 실장은 일신 상의 이유로 사의를 표명한 것으로 안다. 건강상의 이유로 지금 입원해 있다고 들었다"라며 "윤석열 대통령도 이를 수용한 것으로 안다"고 설명했다.
조상준 실장은 한동훈 법무부 장관과 함께 윤 대통령의 최측근으로 분류됐으며 지난 6월 국정원 기조실장에 발탁됐다.
