[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 26일 성산구 상남동에서 자립준비청년 자활사업단 개소식을 가졌다고 밝혔다.
사업단은 시설 또는 가정위탁 보호가 종료된 청년을 대상으로 맞춤형 일자리를 제공해 사회에 적응할 수 있도록 역량을 키우는데, 창원지역자활센터에서 운영하게 된다.
본 사업장은 지난해 12월 20일 창원시, 현대위아, 초록우산어린이재단, 창원지역자활센터가 ‘자립준비 청년의 지속 가능 일터 지원 업무 협약’ 체결에 따라 참여자 모집과 사전 교육, 사업 내용 결정, 사업장 조성 등 장기간의 준비를 거쳐 개소하게 됐다.
이날 행사에서 참여 청년에게 ‘앞치마 전수식’의 상징적인 퍼포먼스를 통해 사업장 운영의 주인공이 청년임을 알리고 청년들이 주인 의식을 가지고 매장을 꾸려나가도록 응원했다.
사업에 참여하는 10명의 청년들은 앞으로 최소 3년에서 5년 동안 이곳에서 운영하는 사업에 참여할 수 있으며, 스스로 자립할 수 있도록 하는 것이 목표라고 시 관계자는 밝혔다.
청년들도 매장을 잘 운영해 자립할 수 있는 기반을 다지고 사회 일원으로서의 역할을 감당할 수 있도록 용기를 주신 분들께 감사를 전하고, 사회 첫 출발을 내딛는 중요한 시점에서 많은 분들의 관심과 사랑이 자립의 원동력이 될 것이라며 거듭 감사를 전했다.
