[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경남테크노파크는 28일, 한국방위산업진흥회와 경남 방위산업 육성을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다.
방진회는 방위산업 경쟁력 향상, 수출 촉진을 위한 활동, 방위산업에 관한 조사·연구 등을 목적으로 설립된 방위산업 전문기관으로, 양 기관은 이번 업무협약을 통해 △경남지역 중소기업의 방산분야 진입을 위한 협력 △경남 방위산업 육성지원사업의 직간접 연계 지원 △방위산업 관련 자료의 상호교류 △신규 방위산업 육성사업의 공동 기획 협력을 추진하기로 했다.
방진회 나상웅 상근부회장은 “이번 협약을 통해 경남 방산기업의 성장 가능성이 높고, 경남TP의 방위산업 육성지원 의지를 확인했다”며 “이를 계기로 경남 방위산업을 육성해, 한국 방위산업의 질적·양적 성장을 도모하기 위해 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
노충식 원장은 “경남은 방산 관련 체계기업, 중소기업, 연구기관 등이 밀집해 있는 대한민국 방위산업의 요충지다”며,“경남TP의 방산 지원 인프라를 적극적으로 활용해 경남이 한국 방위산업 성장의 원동력이 될 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 경남TP는 2020년부터 경남창원방산혁신클러스터 사업에 참여해 지역 방위산업 육성을 위한 다양한 지원 사업을 발굴하고 있다.
