[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 박완수 경상남도지사는 28일 의령 서동생활공원에서 개최된 ‘의령 리치리치페스티벌’ 개막식에 참석했다.
‘리치리치페스티벌’은 ‘솥바위’를 보고 조선말 한 철학자가 부자 탄생을 예언했다는 전설을 토대로 부자의 기운을 나누고 나눔을 실천하는 진정한 부자의 자세를 배우자는 의미로 마련됐다. 실제로 솥바위 인근에서 3명의 글로벌기업 창업주가 탄생해 솥바위는 ‘부자 바위’라는 별명이 생겼다.
올해 처음으로 개최되는 이번 축제는 ‘인생의 전환점’이라는 주제로 28일부터 30일까지 3일간 의령 서동생활공원과 솥바위를 비롯해 의령 전역에서 열린다.
의령군은 개막식을 비롯해 리치 클래식 콘서트와 리치쇼, 부자 기운이 널리 전파되기를 희망하는 염원을 담은 소원잎 달기 및 띄우기, 별멍하며 소원빌기 등 다양한 프로그램을 선보인다.

리치리치페스티벌은 신규축제로서의 정체성 확립과 지속가능한 축제로의 성장을 도모해, 다채로운 콘텐츠를 기획함으로써 의령과 경남을 대표하는 축제로 발돋움해 나갈 것으로 기대된다.
박 도지사는 개막식에 참석해 “다른 축제와 차별화된 부자축제만의 역사성과 콘텐츠는 의령 관광의 경쟁력으로 이어질 것”이라며 “리치리치페스티벌이 지역경제에 힘을 보태고 세계적인 명품축제로 발전해 나가기를 기원한다”고 말했다.
