<2022 부안 동학농민혁명 학술대회>(주최 : 부안군/ 주관 : 부안동학농민혁명기념사업회 · 동학학회)가 2022년 10월 28일(금) 13시부터 부안군청 5층 대회의실에서 열렸다. 박세준(덕성여대) 사회로 진행된 개회식에서는 배의명(부안동학농민혁명기념사업회 이사장)의 개회사. 임형진(동학학회 회장)의 대회사, 이정석(부안 부군수)의 환영사, 이정희(천도교 연원회 의장)의 격려사, 채길순(명지전문대 명예교수)의 “부안의 동학농민혁명과 현창 방안”이라는 제목으로 기조 강연을 했다. 여기서 백산대회에 대한 역사성도 중요하지만 부안지역의 역사적 인물과 사건, 사적지를 연계한 스토리텔링의 부각이 중요하다고 주장했다.
김선배(동국대) 교수의 사회로 진행된 학술대회에서는 제1주제 “해월 최시형과 부안의 동학”(조극훈, 경기대), 제2주제 “김낙철 형제의 동학과 부안 도소 활동”(조규태, 한성대), 제3주제 “동학농민혁명을 계승한 부안의 민족운동”(박대길, 전북대), 제4주제 “현대시에 반영된 부안 동학농민혁명 고찰”(맹문재, 안양대), 제5주제 “부안 동학의 문화 콘텐츠 활용 방안연구”(강민숙, 시인)가 발표됐다.
진행된 종합토론(좌장, 안외순, 한서대)에서는 김영철(동국대), 김영진(경희대), 성강현(동의대), 김남희(카톨릭대), 우수영(경북대) 등이 참여하여 열띤 토론을 벌였다. 특히 백산대회의 역사적 의의와 해월 최시형과 부안의 동학, 김낙철 김낙봉 형제의 동학 활동에 토론 활동을 벌였다.

<2022 Buan Donghak Peasant Revolution Academic Conference> (Host: Buan-gun/Host: Buan Donghak Peasant Revolution Memorial Project, Donghak Society) was held at the conference room on the 5th floor of Buan-gun Office from 13:00 on October 28, 2022.
