[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 비효율적으로 운영되거나 중복운영되고 있는 각종 위원회에 대한 대대적인 정비를 통해 위원회 개선에 나섰다고 31일 밝혔다.
민선8기 출범과 함께 홍남표 창원특례시장은 책임 행정 실현과 효율적인 예산집행을 강조하면서 무분별하게 설치된 위원회를 과감하게 정비할 것을 지시하고, 이에 따라 위원회의 목적·기능, 안건의 특성, 최근 3년간 회의 개최실적 등을 전수조사한 결과, 10월 현재 운영 중인 268개의 위원회 중 26개를 정비하기로 결정했다.
우선, 비전수립자문위원회 등 목적 달성이나 행정여건 변화 등으로 존속 필요성이 낮은 12개의 위원회는 폐지한다.
