한국자유총연맹측은 “다시 한번 북한의 미사일 도발과 같은 어떠한 위협에도 대응할 수 있는 만반의 대비 태세를 갖추는 데 앞장설 것임을 약속하며, 앞으로도 대한민국의 대표 국민운동단체이자 국제 NGO로서 자유민주주의의 가치를 훼손하는 그 어떤 도발도 묵과하지 않고 한 치의 흔들림 없이 국민의 생명과 대한민국의 안보를 위협하는 행위에 대하여 끝까지 투쟁할 것을 천명한다”고 덧붙였다.
