[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경남도가 내년도 재해예방사업 국비 추가 확보를 위해 총력을 기울이고 있다.
박완수 지사는 “자연재해로부터 도민의 안전을 지키기 위해서는 예방사업 확대가 필요하다”며 국회 방문 등을 통한 국비 추가 확보를 지시했다.
경남도는 내년도 재해예방사업에 올해보다 161억 원이 증액된 1,028억 원의 국비를 확보하는 성과를 거두었다.
하지만, 내년 정부안에 미반영된 재해예방사업을 추가 반영하기 위해 지난 3일 국회를 방문해 예결위, 지역구 의원에게 국비 지원을 설명·건의하는 등 국비 추가 확보를 위해 총력을 기울이고 있다.
재해예방사업은 침수 위험이 있는 지역이나, 급경사지와 저수지 등 노후화로 붕괴 위험이 있는 시설의 정비를 통해 자연재해로부터 도민의 생명과 재산 피해를 사전 예방하기 위한 사업이다.
경남도 관계자는 “자연재난 피해 예방을 위해서는 주민대피, 도로 통제 등 사전 대응과 더불어 사전에 피해를 최소화할 수 있는 재해예방사업의 적극적인 추진도 중요하다”고 설명했다.
이어 “우리 생활 주변의 재해위험요소를 사전에 예방함으로써 도민의 생명과 재산을 보호하는데 최선을 다하고, 지속적으로 사업을 확대·추진하겠다”고 말했다.
