브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 검찰이 9일 정진상 더불어민주당 당대표실 정무조정실장의 자택 및 사무실에 대한 압수수색에 나서자, 민주당은 당사 셔터를 내리고 저지하고 있다.
이날 당 대표실 관계자에 따르면 검찰은 정진상 실장 자택과 사무공간이 있는 국회 당대표실 비서실과 민주당사 내 당대표실 비서실에 검사와 수사관을 보내 압수수색을 집행했다.
국회에선 검찰이 국회의장실과 면담 후 영장 집행을 대기 중이며 민주당사에선 당직자들이 당사 셔터문을 내리고 검찰과 대치를 벌이고 있다.
당 대표실은 앞서 당직자들에게 공지문을 보내 "당 대표 비서실은 국회 본청 2층으로, 정 실장은 당사에선 근무한 적이 없으며 근무 공간도 없다"면서 "정 실장이 근무하지 않은 곳까지 압수수색하겠다는 것으로 보인다"고 밝혔다.
한편 검찰은 김용 민주연구원 부원장과 함께 이재명 대표의 최측근으로 꼽히는 정진상 실장에게 부패방지법 위반, 특정범죄 가중처벌법 위반(뇌물) 혐의를 적용하고 있다.
김용 부원장이 이재명 대표의 대선자금 명목으로 8억4700만원을 수수하는 과정에 정 실장도 개입돼 있다고 보고 있다.
